Privacy policy

This explains what personal information I collect through this website, why, who it goes to, and how you can see or correct it. Last updated 31 August 2026.

Muscle Manipulation Therapy, 83 Aldridge Street, Endeavour Hills VIC 3802, handles personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What I collect

If you send an enquiry: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and whatever you write in the message.

If you place an order: your name, delivery address, email address and phone number, and the items you ordered.

If you come in for treatment: I keep clinical notes about your injury and treatment. Those are kept on paper at the clinic, not on this website, and are not accessible from it.

Automatically: the web host keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser, pages requested, date and time. These are used to keep the site running and secure.

What I do not collect

• Card details. Payment is handled entirely by PayPal on their own systems. Your card number never reaches this website and I never see it.
• Tracking or advertising cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracking on this site.

The shopping cart stores your selected items in your own browser using local storage. That stays on your device, is not sent anywhere until you check out, and you can clear it by emptying the cart or clearing your browser data.

Why I collect it

• To answer your enquiry and arrange an appointment
• To take payment for, pack and post an order
• To keep proper clinical records for people I treat
• To meet tax and business record-keeping obligations

I do not send marketing email, and I do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anybody.

Who it is shared with

• PayPal — to process payment. PayPal is a separate company with its own privacy policy, and may process your information outside Australia.
• Australia Post — your name and address, to deliver an order.
• The web host — which stores the site and its server logs.
• Where the law requires it — for example a lawful request from a court or government agency.

That is the complete list.

How long it is kept

Enquiries are kept while I am dealing with them and for a reasonable period afterwards. Order and payment records are kept for five years, which is what the Australian Taxation Office requires. Clinical notes are kept for the period required for health records in Victoria. After that, information is destroyed or de-identified.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS, so anything you send through it is encrypted in transit. Paper records are kept secured at the clinic. No system is perfect, and I will not pretend otherwise — but I do not store card details anywhere, which removes the thing most worth stealing.

Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask me what personal information I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where I am not required to keep it. Email info@musclemanipulation.com or phone 0438 106 861. I will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.

Complaints

If you think your privacy has been mishandled, contact me first and I will try to sort it out. If you are not satisfied with how I have dealt with it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 through it. Where I treat a minor, a parent or guardian arranges the appointment and provides the details.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
